Transmonumentalism
Large-scale works of art will
always impress and inspire people.
In the course of time mankind has
accumulated rich experience in symbolic and associative thinking. Every
nation has developed its own imagery and its own cultural code. They are an
important part of a nation’s mentality. If people from different cultures
bear this in mind they will be able to understand each other and each other’s
values better. Cultural codes are best understood in a state of meditation or
light trance because this kind of information cannot be transmitted verbally.
It should be understood at the level of feelings and perceptions.
I use monumental plastic art and
modern technology to impress the viewer. I want to put people into a light
trance in order to enable them to better understand sacral aspects of various
cultures, including that of my homeland. That is why transmonumentalism is a
genre I have been working on.
